Fabulous Finds December 2017: Good Bubbles, Fun Stationery and A Heated Airer

December has been a quiet month for me so I haven’t had a lot of time to find fun and wonderful things making this a shorter post than normal, but there are still some products I had to share with you including: bubble bath for children, stationery, a make up brush, a dairy free find and my latest home gadget.

Children's Bubble Bath, Shampoo and Hair & Body Wash from Good Bubble

Every night at bath time my youngest enjoys a splash in the tub, but having a daily bath can be tough on little people’s sensitive skin so I love to find gentle products we can use. We were sent a selection of items from the Good Bubble range including: a Bath time with Clara Gift Set, Clean as a Bean Shampoo and Bish Bash Bosh Hair & Body wash. The gift set contains a bath mitt and a 400ml bottle of bubble bath from the Clara Cloudberry range with extract of cloudberry which smells fruity and delicious. The shampoo and body wash are from the Dexter Dragon Fruit range with extract of dragon fruit providing a mild, sweet scent. Both ranges are lovely and gentle. They are 98% naturally derived, have a “no tears” formula (I’ll admit I haven’t encouraged Little to test this aspect out) and they are free from artificial colours, ‘sulfates’, parabens and PEG. They are also safe for newborns, made in the UK, Vegan and not tested on animals. That’s a lot of goodness packed into a little bottle. I hadn’t heard of the range before, but I will definitely be keeping an eye out for it in Sainsbury’s.

A Blogger’s Journal from Paperchase

A New Year means a new diary. I keep most of my appointments on my Cozi online calendar, but I love to have a paper diary to plan out blog posts and put my deadlines in. Handily Father Christmas gave me this blogging journal from Paperchase which guides you through setting goals, planning and publicising posts, recording stats with plenty of space for notes as well as an actual calendar part. I don’t have the patience for a bullet journal so for me this is a great place to keep all the information I need in one place.

Bare Minerals Precision Face Make Up Brush

Before Christmas I treated myself to some new Bare Minerals foundation powder, the only foundation I have used for years because I find it makes me slightly less spotty. My previous powder had been discontinued so I needed to be colour matched and the sales person used this gorgeous precision brush with closely packed, really soft synthetic fibres with a flat end. It holds the powder really well allowing you to quickly build it up the required level of coverage. It felt so lovely I just had to buy one despite the £24 price tag, but I know their brushes last really well.

Dairy Free Dark Chocolate Lebkuchen from Aldi

If you don’t eat dairy there are a lot of Christmas treats you might miss out on, but you can also find versions of popular Christmas foods without dairy in the strangest of places. I have found that Aldi often have dairy in their biscuits where you wouldn’t normally expect it (e.g. their Bourbons) but then some other items they stock are dairy free. After a recommendation from someone on Instagram I sought out these Holly Lane Lebkuchen because all other brands of Lebkuchen I had seen had dairy either in the chocolate or the biscuit. As they last until June I bought a few packs to see me through the winter.

Dry Soon Heated Airer from Lakeland

One of my most exciting Christmas presents this year was a 3 tiered heated airer from Lakeland. We generate a lot of dirty clothes in this house which means a lot of washing to dry. I don’t like to use our washer dryer for everything which is fine in the summer when I can put clothes outside to dry, but in winter it can take days for clothes to dry on our normal airer. While expensive (£109.99) the 3 tiered airer takes a full load of washing from our ?kg machine and dries it within 24 hours. I find kid’s clothes dry faster than our bulkier items, but it still speeds the drying time up considerably. I requested the version with the cover because this keeps the heat inside and dries items faster, but I’ve heard that a large sheet works well too. As a bonus our cat has found a nice warm place to hide underneath.

High Styler Highlighters from Mustard

I love fun stationery and Mustard have a range unlike any other. These quirky highlighter pens came in my stocking (thanks Father Christmas) and look like bottles of neon nail polish. They are some of the cutest highlighter pens I have seen and are surprisingly comfortable to hold. A great present for anyone that loves stationery and make up.

  1. Oh I have been looking at that planner! Once I get my money through from one poll I think I will be buying unless I can sweet talk Andy into getting it at the weekend! We used to have one of those dryers for years and only recently sold it as we dont have the room to use it any more! I adored it especially when James was tiny!
