Yesterday I washed my hair, found some cleanish clothes and headed to the elegant surroundings of Somerset House to see the new Spring Summer Collection from mini club. Mini club clothes are easy to miss if you don’t have a big Boots near you, but they are worth checking out because they have some great pieces at affordable prices. The full collection features clothes for 0 to 6 year olds and is available online including Fearne, the collaboration with Fearne Cotton. I'm going to share some of my favourite pieces from the collection in this post.
The SS18 Fearne Collection
This Spring/ Summer collection includes the second Fearne range and I love it just as much as the last one. Fearne Cotton is a stylish mum and her influence can easily be seen in the SS18 Fearne collection (a number of the pieces she has even requested in her size!). Fearne wants the clothes to be affordable and practical because sometimes your children jump in a load of mud and the clothes just aren’t going to make it. She might be a celeb, but she experiences some of the same challenges as the rest of us. I love that her reasoning behind having a reversible bomber jacket (available in both the boys and girls collections) is so you can turn it inside out if they get it dirty. I love that you get two looks for the price of one (£26).
My favourite items from her girl's range have cat prints on, Fearne is a self proclaimed “mad cat lady” and her daughter’s love of cats (in particular their cat Tallulah) provided inspiration for these clothes. Across the range there are lots of bold, fun prints with positive messages like “Be cool and Be a Star” and “Be #Happy”. Unlike her first collection the clothes are less unisex in their colour range (there is a lot of pastel pink) but lots of the boys range would be loved by my girls.

The Boots mini club SS18 Collection
Mini club design their clothes to be practical and affordable. The collection includes: baby (newborn to 24 months depending on the item), toddler (9 months to 6 years), swimwear (3 months to 6 years) and sleepwear (1 to 6 years). Prices are around: £14 for a set of 3 tops, £10 for shorts, £14 for hoodies and cardigans and dresses for £16.
For Spring and Summer there are a lot of pastels as well as bold, colourful prints. My favourite line is It’s A Jungle Out There targeted at boys and featuring reptiles and parrots. My absolute favourite is a navy hoody with cheerful frogs and lizards and based on feedback from mums on my Facebook page it is just as popular with other parents.
Mini club really think about the clothes, making sure they are easy to coordinate and selling lots of great value sets. They want the clothes to be comfortable too and the jeans are actually looped back jersey making them really soft. I love this as my girls have never wanted to wear proper denim.
The Water Babies range has lots of swimwear perfect for protecting little ones in the sun. Many designs feature sleeves, legs and high necks to provide more coverage and they have a UPF 40+ rating. With the bright designs it will be easy to spot your little ones too.
There are also collections by All Dressed Up and Bows and Arrows. All Dressed Up is a more formal collection featuring outfits which are perfect for weddings and special occasions at great value. There are amazing lace and organza dresses costing only £22 and they have items in both baby and toddler sizes (so covering 0 to 6 years). Bows and Arrows is a more classic collection with florals, checks and stripes.
Most of the new range is available in store and online now with more pieces available in April ready for the summer.
***Disclosure: I was invited to view the collection and received some products in exchange for attending***
