Rhythm 108 Healthier Vegan and Gluten Free Snacks (Review)

Are you doing Veganuary? Are you already dairy free, gluten free or Vegan?  Or do you just want to make your snacks slightly healthier (but still delicious)? You might want to try out Rhythm 108 snacks.

The Rhythm 108 Vegan Swiss chocolate bar and tea biscuits range

I haven’t eaten dairy for 2 years now and I am always looking for new tasty snacks that I can enjoy. Fortunately there are a growing number of biscuits and treats which are accidentally or intentionally vegan and dairy free, but they can also be filled with a load of unidentifiable rubbish. Rhythm 108 wanted to reinvent indulgent sweet snacks with healthy ingredients so they can be enjoyed without the guilt.

They have dessert bars, tea biscuits and swiss chocolate bars, all of which are gluten free and Organic. The dessert bars sound delicious, but they all contain dairy so I’ve only tried products from their Vegan tea biscuits and chocolate bar ranges.

Rhythm 108 Ooh-la-la Tea Biscuits

Chocolate Hazelnut and Lemon Ginger biscuits are available in 24g packs. They contain 2 biscuits which are the perfect portion size to go with a cup of tea. They have a bit of a crunch and they are good and filling too. Primarily made from oat flour and coconut oil they both contain nuts, but no soya.

There are also larger Sharing bags in: Lemon Ginger Chia, Coconut Cookie, Almond Biscotti and Double Chocolate Hazelnut. All the tea biscuits are gluten free, vegan, contain unrefined sugar and they are a source of fibre. Again they are made with oat flour and coconut oil with a number of other ingredients which are actually recognisable when you read through the ingredients.

Rhythm 108 Deeelicious Swiss Chocolate Bars

These indulgent tasting bars have 8g natural sugar per 33g bar (45 % less sugar than comparable bars) and they are made with Swiss Chocolate. They are available in Super Coconut, Praline Quinoa and (my favourite) Sweet ’N’ Salty Almond. All the bars are Gluten Free and Vegan (so Dairy Free) and high in Fibre.

I thought I would like the Praline bar best, but was surprised that I prefer the less rich chocolatey Sweet ’N’ Salty Almond bar which has Almond butter, chunks of Almond and sea salt covered in a mylk chocolate. The Praline Quinoa in contrast is a darker chocolate for when you want a richer chocolate hit. The Super Coconut is like a posh Bounty, which I’m not personally a fan of, but if you want a dark chocolate coconutty bar you should give it a try.
