Giveaway: Milton Hygiene Kit

When I think about ensuring everything is clean and hygienic for babies there is one brand that comes to my mind before any others: Milton. When my children were newborn I used their liquid to sterilise toys, dummies and other items, I had their antibacterial wipes in my bag for emergencies when we were out (and for cleaning things like supermarket trollies), I used the surface spray to clean their highchairs and their antibacterial gel to clean my hands when I couldn’t get to wash my hands with soap and water. Milton products are great so I am happy to be giving away a Milton hygiene kit in my latest giveaway.

Arranging the Ultimate Teletubbies Playdate with the Tubby Playdate Pack

I can’t be the only mum who finds arranging playdates a little bit scary? For me the worst bit is the actual asking, it’s just like when I was single and trying to pluck the courage up to ask a guy out, but now I worry about both my daughter and me being rejected. When I get a "yes" it's on to planning the playdate and that’s the fun bit! If your little one loves Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po then a Teletubbies theme is a great idea. You can even download a free Tubby Playdate pack to help make the playdate go smoothly and we have been testing it out.

Joie Nitro Umbrella Stroller Review

There is a lot to like about the Joie Nitro umbrella stroller: it folds up easily, looks great, is good value and it has a higher than normal weight limit. Available in different colours I chose the pink or magenta, but I would call it more of a purple. While there are a few minor aspects I think could be improved it is a great pushchair and it has been fun to review.

How To Help Someone With Depression

It’s hard when a friend or loved one is struggling with their mental health, they won’t be their normal self. They may be mean, short tempered or just lacking the spark that makes them who they are. G has never found it easy to live with me when I am depressed and as I have written before he finds it hard not to take my behaviour personally, but it’s never about him, it’s all about me. And while he wants to make me better there isn’t always much he can do.

The New Sk:n Clinic In South Woodford, East London

Like many people I look in the mirror each day, poking my face and lamenting over my flaws, but not really knowing what to do about them. I was invite to the official opening of sk:n in South Woodford recently and met some lovely people who gave me a whole new perspective on my face and what I could do to make it better.

What I Love About The Ion8 Kids Water Bottle

I originally planned just to do social media promotion of the ion8 water bottles we were sent, but I love them so much I thought they deserved a blog post. We were sent 2 of the kid's water bottles in rose and pink and for the last month they have been out with us practically everywhere. The girls even take them to bed at night too. I never knew I would have enough to say about a water bottle to write a whole post, but there is just so much I love about them.

The Strongest Mums In The World Are Those Who Live With Mental Health Problems

As someone with mental health issues I walk a tightrope. One day I feel strong, I feel in control and then one little thing happens and I crumble. I can go from happy to flat in moments, but it is so much harder to find my way back again. My ability to react to change and stress aren’t the same as a ‘normal’ person. My instincts make me want to run, to give up rather than to fight.

My Broken iPhone 7 and it's White Apple Screen of Death

I wrote this last week when my phone was broken and I was a little bit distraught. I feared if my phone was recovered it would have to be reset losing everything. It was before I took my phone to some experts who believed they could fix my phone. And they did. I also managed to dig out an iPhone 5 with a broken screen and which I last used in 2014. It was so old and incompatible with newer apps that Instagram would only allow squares and it had the old logo. The camera was ok if you wanted to take a picture of a statue in bright light, but not so good with anything living. It also wouldn’t make phones calls and texts, but at least the internet and emails worked (even if I could only half read the screen).
