Review: Funky Giraffe Outfit

We have been a big fan of Funky Giraffe bibs for years. I love them because these super absorbent dribble bibs have kept my babies necks dry, they wash well, they are excellent value and they come in a huge range of lovely designs. When Funky Giraffe offered us one of their new outfits to review I was really excited to see that the fun designs had made it on to trousers and hats.  We absolutely loved the print of this outfit, although Little isn’t so keen on wearing a hat even when it’s freezing outside.

I love bright bold prints and these Funky Toucans are super cute. The set comes with a bib (of course), a hat, a white vest and trousers (or pantaloons!). When getting Little dressed the first thing I noticed was how soft the cotton was. I also liked that the waistband and ankles of the trousers can fold over making it fit for a longer period. Just like I have found with the bibs, the whole outfit washed well and retained it’s softness and shape.

"Yes, lots of space in these"
The pantaloons are a lovely baggy fit with enough space for a cloth bum and are great for when your baby is starting to be on the move. Currently just in size 6 to 12 months you can get a lot of use out of these trousers. At 10 months I still had the elasticated section folded over on Little so I know we still have a good few months of wear left in them.

"This hat has a lovely pink trim, but you can't make me keep it on my head!"

The hat is cute and ever so soft, but Little isn’t a big fan of anything on her head so for us it won’t get a lot of wear. Very soon I’m expecting it to appear on one of her big sister’s dolls as M has been drawn to the fun pattern too.

As mentioned above I love Funky Giraffe bandana bibs and I recommend them to anyone who has a dribbly baby or just wants to brighten up an outfit. On one side it is soft cotton in a fun design (they also do plain bibs if you prefer) and on the reverse it has fleece which makes it more absorbent, but also quick drying. They have a couple of poppers to do the bib up behind the neck and make the size adjustable. Little still has both poppers done up so they should fit most babies and toddlers. They also do a range of XL bibs if needed for older children. In this cold weather they have the extra benefit of helping to keep baby’s neck warm, but they are light enough for summer too.

Do I look funky?
To make it a full outfit there is a lovely soft white cotton vest included. The outfits come in a few different prints and I think they are a great buy for your own child and make a perfect gift set.

Disclosure: we were provided with this funky outfit for the purpose of an honest review. All thoughts, words and pictures are my own.
