The last letter I wrote was to our bank to complain about their atrocious service. I doubt they will do anything to compensate us, but it was strangely satisfying to be able to write a polite but scathing letter about their so-called "customer helpline" who were anything but helpful.

I wrote a thank you letter to my friend's mum who kindly sent my little boy an Easter Egg even though she was in hospital at the time. It was so kind of her to go so much effort when she was poorly and the least it deserved was a curtious reply..and that can only be done properly with a hand written note of gratitude. x

Sadly, it was to a friend who had lost his mother. I love emails but giving and receiving hand written letters shows more thought I think.
