How To Surprise Your Loved Ones Living Away From You On Their Special Day

Here’s How To Surprise Your Loved Ones Living Away From You On Their Special Day

Living away from your loved ones can be very challenging, especially on special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries, when you miss them terribly and they wish to share their special days with you too, but even if you are not physically present, you can make your presence felt. Whether it’s your husband out of the city for a business project, your child living away from you for studies, your long-distance partner, or your best friend who lives in another city, here’s how you can surprise them on their special day.

Send a care package

Not being physically together on occasions like birthdays and anniversaries is not a reason enough to not party. Even if you are miles apart, you can have a lot of fun.

Send them a care package (a birthday or anniversary care package) filled with party favours. Either order a box online or create it yourself. However, opting for the latter option will make them feel more special.

To create a party pack, take a box and fill it with balloons, confetti, candle blowers, candles, cake mix, sprinklers, a hand-written note, and anything that they love.

Ensure the timing. They should receive the box on their special day, not before it and not after it.

Send them gift cards

Although an old idea, it will bring an ear-to-ear smile to the face of your loved one. Spoil them on their special day by sending gift cards.

Options are many. If your loved one loves shopping, gift them a voucher for online shopping. If they love eating, send them to their favourite restaurant.

Pamper them with experiences

If you wish to do something unique for your loved one on their special day, why not gift them experiences?

There are many things you can do depending on what they love. If they are an adventure junkie, book them for an underwater diving course, bungee jumping, or whatever they enjoy. Book a spa session for them at the most luxurious spa. How about buying them tickets for a concert or a football match?

Send them edible gifts

Who doesn’t love edible gifts? Send them chocolate hampers, gourmet treats, exotic fruit baskets, dry fruits and dried fruits, and other such edible gifts.

If they love wine, send them an expensive wine. They are going to love you for that.

Plan a virtual party

When away from family, your loved ones are going to miss you all. Do not leave them alone on their special day. If you can’t have a real party, plan a virtual party.

Use video calling apps like Facetime or Skype for the party and connect your friends and family members from different locations.

To make things more fun, send small party packs, including balloons, party horns, small cake jars, etc., to all your guests in advance. Use them during the party.

Make a video for them

If you can’t put up a party, consider creating a small video for them. Create a timeline of the milestone moments you shared with them. Include personal messages from your closed ones. Request their friends to record small messages for them and use them in your video clip.

Your loved one is going to love this surprise.

Final words

Distance is only a physical barrier. Even if you are not present with them on their special day, you can still celebrate together. Use these ideas to surprise your loved ones living away from you and give them memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Here are so more gift ideas for loved ones to let them know you are thinking of them.
