DREAMTOYS 2025: The 15 Top Toys For This Christmas

The 2025 DreamToys list was released today revealing which toys, games and gadgets the industry insiders think will be a hit this Christmas. These toys often go on to be most asked for and in demand so if you want to know the coolest toys to place under your tree this Christmas keep reading.

The Dream Toys To Buy This Christmas

Chosen By Experts

The DreamToys list each year is selected by a panel of toy retailers and experts from independent stores to the biggest national chains. Unsurprisingly there are many familiar names on the list this year as children and parents alike tend to choose new versions of toys they love, but there are also a few brands you probably haven’t heard of yet. There are present ideas for all ages on this list so whether you are looking to buy for toddlers through to teens there are recommendations for you, and I’m confident that adults will be asking for some of these toys for Christmas too.

So What Toys Have Made The Top Toys List This Year?

(Listed from £ to £££ RRP. Click on link to jump to section)

Dress To Impress Mystery Model Dolls, Click, £12.99

Inspired by one of the most popular games on ROBLOX at the moment, these blind bag style toys each contain one small figure with a removable outfit and accessories. There are 10 to collect in Series 2 (but you don’t know who you have until you open it up). The clothes and accessories are interchangeable so if they have a few they can create their own original outfit, just like in the online game.

Each pack comes with a code where you can grab a free item in the actual game.

The new ones on sale are Series 2 so look for the pink stars with S2 on the pack rather than the older gold star boxes.

Who To Buy It For

Suitable for age 6+, I can see these being most popular with girls around 10 years old. There is a cross over with the ROBLOX game so if they like playing Dress To Impress AND they still like playing with toys then they are a great choice. The price means they are an option for stocking fillers or buying them a few together so they can mix and match.

Mini Brands - Fill the Fridge Playset, ZURU, £19.99

If you aren’t familiar with Mini Brands then they are a whole range of capsules where you open them up and get mini, collectible, display versions of well loved branded items. Currently versions available include Sneakers, home Items, Disney toys and more, but the choice for this year’s Dream Toy list is the new playset which accompanies the Fill The Fridge line.  This supper cute toy mini fridge has doors, drawers and shelves so you can neatly pack away your collection of food from the capsules on the shelves and drawers. This makes it a brilliant way to neatly store all the miniatures, but it’s more than that. The set comes with an exclusive Create item (part of the range where you assemble the item yourself with the included resin) and the top of the fridge has an inbuilt UV light to cure the resin. You also get a mini item, ice scoop and little fridge magnets to decorate your fridge.

Who To Buy It For

Anyone who is already a fan of the Mini Brands food range will appreciate this addition, but I can see it appealing to lots of Tween and Teens too as an introduction. The set is recommended for age 8 plus which makes sense as the food items are pretty small and the Create items are a bit fiddly for younger ones. If they are just starting off their collection make sure to buy them a capsule or two as well so they have more to play with.

Gui Gui Shimmer Deluxe Pack, Moose Toys, £19.99

Love it or hate it slime continues to be hugely popular with children, so it’s no surprise slime has made it in to the top toys for Christmas list for 2025. This twin set contains two scented slimes and various items to add to them making them more sparkly. They also come with little characters to play in the slime with and, most useful containers to keep the mixed up slimes securely in so they can be played with over and over again.

Who To Buy It For

This is a nice activity based gift for children who like slime (and whose parents haven’t banned it from the house). It is recommended for age 6 plus and while I think the set would be enjoyed by both girls and boys it’s worth noting that the packaging is very pink which might put some boys off.

Marshmallow Madness, Vivid Goliath, £19.99

Marshmallow Madness is a fun family game where people have to eat as many mini marshmallows as they can before the timer runs out. This is complicated by having to use leavers controlling mini hands to pick up the marshmallows and stuff them in your mouth.

Who To Buy It For

Recommended for age 6 + this game is for families who like to sit round the table and have fun. The enjoyment is as much in watching everyone else trying to stuff food in their mouth as it is having a go yourself.

LEGO Speed Champions F1 Range, LEGO, £22.99

Every year LEGO makes it into the DreamToys list and as my house is full of LEGO that is regularly played with I can’t argue that it makes a brilliant gift for children and adults alike. The Speed Champions F1 Range has several different cars available (including Mercedes-AMG, McLaren and BWT Alpine) which can be built and raced.

Who to Buy It For

The appeal to these LEGO sets will cross over between F1 fans of all ages. The builds are more challenging than some sets (so recommended for 10 plus) so although the cars are quite small they will still be fun to build.

Peppa Pig Oinks & Snuggles Evie Doll, Hasbro, £29.99

The only toy in this year's list for preschoolers, this toy is bound to be a hit with Peppa Pig fans. The Pig family welcomed a new addition this year in the form of a baby sister for Peppa and George. This set allows children to play with their very own Evie doll. She makes different sound effects based on how she is interacted with and she has accessories including a playmat, bib, bottle and dummy.

Who To Buy It For

Recommended for age 3 plus this will be loved by fans of the children’s TV show.

Wicked For Good Singing Dolls, Mattel, £34.99

With such a huge movie being released so close to Christmas it is inevitable that there will be a lot of Wicked merchandise under Christmas Trees this year. The Mattel dolls (sold individually) are based on Elphaba and Glinda and are the rough size of a Barbie doll. They look pretty similar to the actresses so will definitely be a hit with fans of the film. These dolls sing lines from "For Good" when you press the button on their tummy.

Who To Buy It For

If children love dolls and loved the first Wicked film then they will appreciate these toys. With Christmas only a month a half after release date of Wicked 2 not all fans will have seen the film, but their is enough excitement following the first film that you will have an idea of if they like it or not.

Sticki Rolls Sticki Rolluxe, Character Options, £39.99

Sticki Rolls return to the DreamToys list this year with their sticker bracelet lot and handbag. While this handbag probably wont be the must be seen with accessory on the high street, it is a handy sticker station with 50 Sticki Rolls (each with 10 stickers on), supplies for 10 bracelets, 2 pendants and 3 Jumbo Stickis (these are really cool for those that love Sticki Rolls). You can use the stickers to decorate the bag to your own style. So whether young fans want to take it out everywhere they go, or just keep their kit organised, it's well designed storage.

Who To Buy It For

The Kawaii themed stickers have a wide appeal and this mega set has lots. The age of children who will want to use the Rolluxe as a shoulder bag while out is more limited (maybe from the minimum recommended age of 5 to about 7). It's a fun activity set through and the jumbo stickies will be popular with Kawaii fans.

Human Controller, TOMY, £39.99

This party game targeted at teens and older is for 2 or more players. One person puts on the headset blind fold and another person controls an app. You can then play mini games where the app controller sends signals to the headset to control their direction and get them to complete tasks.

Who To Buy For

This is a good present for families that have teenagers to encourage them to play together and have a laugh. While younger children will enjoy getting involved they find the instructions harder to follow and the headset is too big for little heads.

Monster Jam Smash & Bash Grave Digger RC, Spin Master, £49.99

This isn’t just another Monster Truck style radio controlled car. The fun thing about this truck is that you are actually encouraged to crash it, and when you do the outside other truck crumples. The harder you smash it, the more damage you can cause, but it’s only temporary because with a touch of a button it’s all fixed.

Who To Buy It For

Recommended for age 5 plus, this radio controlled truck is pretty easy to control. Fans of Monster Jam and trucks will have fun with this toy. Ideal for houses with a bit of space and without delicate furniture or plants at floor height.

Pokémon Trading Card Game: Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Box, Pokemon, £54.99

A new Pokémon trading card game box which will be loved by fans. The box contains 9 booster card packs, 40 energy cards, a foil art card specific to the set, dice, card sleeves, coin flip die, plastic coin, collectors box and players guide.

Who To Buy It For

This gift is for hardcore fans of Pokémon TCG, regardless of age. While some fans will be happy just with card packs, this box would really be wasted on someone unless they enjoy the trading card game or they are a committed collector. Recommended for age 7 plus.

Jurassic World Primal Hatch T.Rex, Spin Master, £64.99

Do you remember Hatchimals where you would Hatch a creature from an egg and then interact with it through a series of sensors? This dinosaur is a similar idea, but with the benefit of the ongoing tech advances and customer feedback. You dinosaur will hatch from an egg and it needs to be fed and trained. There are a whole range of games and interactions. The t-rex responded to sound, touch, it’s training clicker and it’s food.

Who To Buy It For

This is a great toy for dino fans. Recommended for age 5 plus they get the fun of hatching your own baby T.Rex and loads of different ways to play with it.

Disney Stitch Ultimate Stitch Interactive Feature Plush, Just Play, £79.99

Another interactive Stitch toy? Yes I know there have been several on the market in the last few years, but the thing is: they are just so adorable. This Stitch is soft to the touch, but has a substantial weight to it as the alien has a lot going on in it's little body. He is the most advanced Stitch I have played with and has over 100 sound and motion combinations. There are sensors on his nose, tongue, belly and hands which will encourage him to make the familiar sounds and actions. He can stand by himself, but luckily wont run off and cause chaos.

Who To Buy It For

Me. Seriously. Anyone who finds Stitch cute will love this version to be their Ohana. He is suitable from age 3, but I think he would be better for children a little older. He's pretty durable, but I'm sure my children would have broken him at that age (even now they are still skilled at testing toys to destruction).

Hot Wheels Racing Fl Grand Prix Circuit, Mattel, £79.99

In this Hot Wheels set you can have 3 cars racing each other around the track. Either set it to a preferred number of circuits or infinite loops and after setting the cars off they will loop themselves round the track at high speed. It contains 3 cars featuring authentic designs from actual F1 teams. The set is also compatible with other Hot Wheels tracks so you can increase the size of the track even further,.

Who to Buy It For

This is a fun set for Hot Wheels fans who will enjoy watching the cars race around the track. While it is F1 themed I think any child that loves racing cars will enjoy it whether they have an interest in the real Formula 1 racing or not. Recommended for age 5 plus I would guess that the perfect age would be car fans up to about age 8. It’s worth noting that the track is big so it will take up a substantial space on the floor. While it does come apart, it’s not ideal for those with small houses.

One Piece Going Merry Pirate Ship, LEGO, £119

This large LEGO set ties into the Netflix series: One Piece. The end result is a a large pirate ship than can be displayed or played with and it includes 5 mini figures.

Who To Buy It For

This awesome end result of this build will appeal to many, whether they have seen the show or not, but it is a big build (1376 pieces) and the end result is 39cm long, 20cm wide and 34cm high so the recipient needs to be old enough to have the attention to build it and also have the space to store it (if you spend hours building it you wan to keep it together). It is recommended for 10 years plus which means there are some fiddly bits of the build. If they are a younger fan of the show the One Piece range does have small sets which are suitable for 6+ which are easier to build.

I hope you find some inspiration in this list for Christmas present buying. There are currently loads of offers on toys in the shops so it is a good idea to browse before we get closer to Christmas, although some of these toys are only just being released so don't worry if they are currently out of stock.
