POP BOOK Review and Giveaway

POP BOOK kindly offered me a code to try out their app and receive a mini photo book. I made a Family Photo book for my baby which you can read about here. This mini book is perfect as a stocking filler for Christmas. If you would like a chance to win one there is a giveaway at the bottom of this post.

The POP BOOK app is available to download from the Apple or Google play store and it lets you create the photo book using photograph’s from your phone, Instagram or Facebook.
The app was really simple to use. I found it easiest to find the 21 pictures I wanted to use first. The apps pick up the albums on your phone so if you add everything to one it is really quick to find the album in the list, select it then press “Select latest 21 photos” at the bottom of the screen. Alternatively you can go through and select all the photo’s you want to use. The photo books are square so you’ll need to choose photo’s which are already that shape or will look good cropped to make the book look at it's best.

When you have selected 21 photo’s you get the option to press “Create your POP BOOK”, give it a few seconds and you are taken though to the editing stage. Double tapping on any picture gives you options to crop and add filters or text. You can also choose to have white or black borders and change the page order. Finally just create an account and order.

The books come in 2 sizes, either 10 x 10 cm for £5.99 or the slightly larger 13 x 13 cm which costs £1 more. Both prices include postage and it should be delivered within 2 weeks, but mine came much faster. They recommend ordering by December 12th if you want it for Christmas.

As a nice bonus you can choose to create an electronic version of the book (whether you buy a hard copy or not) and share with people on social media or email.

I discovered that sometimes if you leave the app before ordering your project isn't saved and you have to start again. As I edited my photographs outside of the app recreating my book took seconds when this happened, but it should be resolved in an app update and wasn’t too frustrating.

My book is lovely: I chose 10x10cm and gloss and it’s the perfect size for little hands.

If you would like to win a code to create your own POP BOOK enter via the rafflecopter widget below. Giveaway closes Sunday 6th November.

I was offered the code to create a POP BOOK in order to review the product and app, but I was under no obligation to write nice things about it. POP BOOK are also providing a code to the winner of the giveaway.
