If you are looking for somewhere to go with primary school age children this October Half Term how about a visit to Kidtropolis? It’s at ExCel London 25th to 27th October (that’s Tuesday to Thursday) and is aimed at children 12 and under. We are going and I’m really excited, it sounds like there will be a huge amount to do.
Disclosure: we have been given free entry in exchange for a review.
What will be happening?
There is a huge list of activities to do and things to see, check out the website for the latest list.
The 10 things we are looking forward to most are:
- Visiting the My Little Pony Bus
- Tackling the Boot Camp Challenge inflatable assault course
- Bouncing on the Spring Free Trampolines
- Swimming with a virtual reality whale
- Getting creative with Play-Doh
- Going on the the 8.5m inflatable Helter-Skelter
- Playing with Playmobil
- Visiting the retro gaming marquee
- Having a dance
- Going virtual rock pooling
How much will it cost?
If bought online in advance tickets will cost you £13.50 a person (under 2s are free). You can buy on the door if tickets are still available, but they will cost £15.50.
The sessions are 4 hours long and you have a choice of morning (from 9.30am) or afternoon (from 2pm). The ticket covers all activities so you will only need to spend more if you want to buy products, food or drink. As it’s only 4 hours long you can probably save time and money by eating beforehand, but you might not manage to avoid the temptation of buying toys.
The website says they won’t be able to scan mobile devices at the door so make sure you print out your tickets.
They ran a test event last year and have used feedback to plan this year's event. We look forward to finding out if it will be as fun as it sounds.
