Review: Boots Mini Club Fearne Collection AW17

Earlier this month we were invited to the launch of the new Boots Mini-Club collection and their first celebrity collaboration: Fearne. Fearne Cotton is a really cool, sensible Mum and the collection of kid’s clothes she helped design is unsurprisingly stylish, practical and excellent value.

Fearne Cotton talking about some items from her new collaboration with Boots Mini-Club

I’ll admit that I was initially a little intimidated by Fearne, but having met her I’m now just in awe. The mum of two is all over social media at the moment with a huge number of collaborations. I don’t know how she manages to fit everything in, but listening to her talk I was surprised by just how normal she seems. She is absolutely lovely as well and we had a quick chat about our daughters who are currently teething.

Fearne’s sense of style is really obvious throughout the collection and there are so many pieces I want. While there are girls bits and boys bits you won’t find gender stereotyping slogans here. There is a lot of grey and great prints, texture and variety. The biggest surprise was all items cost £30 or less which include a beautiful faux fur coat.

Back home and telling my partner about all the pieces I want to buy from the collection he was surprised by me saying the clothes were really stylish. It turns out when I was saying “Fearne Cotton” he was thinking “Fearne Britton”, I suspect Ms Britton would design a rather different collection.

My Favourite items from the collection are the: bird print dress (£15), the star sequin tee (£7) and the slogan tee’s (£8): the boy’s slogan says “Fun, Happy and Always Awesome”, the girl’s says “Be happy and Amazing”

The Autumn Winter Fearne collection for Boots Mini-Club is available online and in selected Boots stores from 30th August. The range comes in sizes from 9 months to 6 years.

  6. These look lovely, I'm always a bit dubious of celeb collaborations, esp with reality "stars" but these look great, wearable and washable
