(AD - Gifted) This is a great giveaway for a jigsaw recommended for 6 to 10 year olds. The Human Body Under X-Ray teaches children about the human body and what is inside. On the left side of the jigsaw it shows organs and on the right it shows the human skeleton. It’s more than just an educational jigsaw though, when you shine a UV light on it the names of all the body parts appear and the organs and bones become visible on the people.

In the box there is: an 84 piece jigsaw made with nice chunky pieces, 10 double sided mission cards, a dry wipe pen and a UV torch (which needs 3 x AA batteries).
The first stage is to complete the jigsaw, but then you can use the UV torch to reveal the names of the body parts and all the secrets of inside the body. Each of the mission cards have 5 body parts to find (on each side) and you tick them off with the dry wipe pen. This is a great way to encourage children to learn more in a fun secret mission way.
I think this makes a great present for tweens, but I have a few minor criticisms: there are two pictures of the jigsaw on the outside of the box, but neither of them show the whole picture clearly making it harder for children to complete the jigsaw if they like to use a picture for reference. I also noticed (because it’s actually on one of the pictures on the outside of the box) that one of the body parts says pubic and the matching mission card says pubis. While these are the same thing I suspect it was an oversight on the designers part to not have it exactly matching.
I also want to point out that the torch has a safety feature so children can’t easily remove the batteries, if you haven’t come across this before make sure you look at the instructions in the torch box for help or you will struggle to get it to work (it took me a while).
