While not everyone of these pubs serves up the Yorkshire puddings with its Sunday dinners they are mostly traditional English pubs with 100s of years of history. Whether you are travelling out from London or you are looking for a local Sunday lunch in West Essex then check out this list. Everyone has been added following recommendations from locals.
As these pubs cook food fresh for the Sunday lunch they will be subject to availability. If you visit towards the end of the serving time there may be reduced options. The free house has a long history, listed in the Domesday Book as a Farmhouse and a stop over point for Cromwell's soldiers in 1645. The post coach travelling between Cambridge and London also stopped here. In short it has a lot of history.

The King's Head is one of the oldest pubs in Essex, with parts of the structure dating back nearly 450 years. The main building is a beautiful half wood construction which dates back to the 17th century, and was originally built using old ships' timbers.
