Review: Princess Twilight Sparkle, A My Little Pony DVD

I remember playing with My Little Pony toys when I was little and it's one of the many toys which has recently had a revival. M fell in love with My Little Pony through the TV programmes and is now a fan of all the merchandise, so of course when we were offered the chance to review the latest release on DVD I had to say "yes". I was hoping I would be able to get M to do a video review, but as you can see from the video below she'll not make a blogger just yet. It would mean staying still for one thing and she isn't that good at staying still, but she did manage it through every episode of Princess Twilight Sparkle.

Watching My Little Pony on DVD

From my point of view it kept her entertained and I even found colouring in print outs on the disk. M keeps getting scared when watching programmes and films and either asks us to turn it off or wants to hide behind us. My Little Pony is officially scare free with no adult shields required.

After watching the first of the 6 episodes I asked M what she thought and she said "I love it so much, I want to watch another episode of it, it was so fun" so there you have it.

M loved the DVD and has watched it lots since it was gifted.

PRINCESS TWILIGHT SPARKLE is the first volume of the fourth season of MY LITTLE PONY FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC. This time Twilight Sparkle has fully transformed from student to princess, from library to castle, and is learning to lend a helping hoof to friends old and new.

The pony pals are travelling across Equestria encountering all kinds of exciting events including fantastical performances at the Summer Sun Celebration, mysterious royal disappearances and even more wild adventures. Every colt and filly in Ponyville is getting involved as these episodes debut on DVD.

Princess Twilight Sparkle has set out on an adventure to learn what it means to have true friendship. She looks to save Equestria from the attacks of a deadly plant, visits an abandoned castle with Rainbow Dash, Applejack and Rarity, and enjoys a whole host of escapades with the gang. Although Princess Twilight Sparkle is a natural born leader, when a bat infestation threatens Equestria, it is Fluttershy that is called in to save the day.

Is this one adventure too many for the pony pals? Find out when MY LITTLE PONY: PRINCESS TWILIGHT SPARKLE arrives on DVD and Digital Download, 9th May.
