LEGO Tape Ideas For Adults

I occasionally browse crowd funding websites to see what brilliant (and ridiculous) ideas people have. In March this year I spotted crowd funding for adhesive lego tape on Indiegogo. The idea captured the imagination of thousands of people and Nimuno Loops quickly exceeded their funding target reaching 40,000 backers. While they finished off their testing and production process LEGO tape became widely available from a number of different companies such as Ozmo and Flexi-Block (affiliate links).

Adhesive LEGO tape is pretty cool stuff. It makes it easy to build on any surface whether horizontal or vertical. The lego tape can be cut to required length and it goes round corners and with a bit of creativity it can be useful for both children an adults. Give some to child and they will have hours of fun playing with it, but adults might need a little bit more inspiration. It sticks to most surfaces, but it’s recommended to avoid paint. The adhesive will peel off surfaces so it can be reused in different places.

Ideas Of How To Use LEGO Tape (For Adults)

The most helpful use I have found so far is to look after keys. A piece of LEGO on a keyring and a small piece of tape on the wall and now I always know where the back door key is. So easy.

We have lots of little LEGO figures from blind bags which were always getting knocked over. I have put some of the tape on a picture frame and not only does it store them neatly, but it makes the a fab looking picture frame too.

I love that LEGO characters hand are just the right size to hold cables so with a figure and a bit of tape you can make a pretty cool cable holder. This is helpful to stop them getting tangled and to save precious time searching for the right one. It almost justifies all the money we spent on blind bags!
