Review: Organic Shop Lavish Avocado & Honey Hair Products

If you want your hair products to be full of natural ingredients then you might want to check out the new Organic Shop haircare range exclusively available in Tesco and at www.organicshop.co.uk. We were sent their Honey and Avocado Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Mask to review. They are designed to give hair an intense moisture boost which my hair is always in need of. Avocado is so popular at the moment I somehow don’t find it surprising that it should be in my haircare.

The blurb says: "Organic Honey is liquid gold, packed with vitamins to restore shine to lifeless hair as well as keeping frizz under control. Organic Avocado is ultra-rich and full of goodness to rejuvenate and moisturise parched hair, promoting strong and healthy hair growth."

98% of the ingredients are of natural origin, there are no parabens or silicones. They aren’t tested on animals and all the packaging is recyclable. So you can feel virtuous when using it and as each product only costs £2.50 it is gentle on your pocket too.

Lavish Avocado & Honey Shampoo and Conditioner

Both shampoo and conditioners come in 280ml bottles with a pushdown dispenser. You use them in the normal way that you use shampoo and conditioner, although it recommends you leave the conditioner on for 1 to 2 minutes. They are mildly scented and I can detect the sweet smell of honey more than recognisable avocado, I like that the smell isn't overwhelming. The shampoo left my hair feeling clean and after conditioning my hair was moisturised without feeling greasy.

Lavish Avocado & Honey Hair Mask

Getting a 250ml pot of intensive conditioner for only £2.50 feels like a bargain. There is enough in the pot to last a couple of months with regular use. It recommends you apply the Hair Mask to damp hair and massage in before leaving for at least 2 minutes or longer for a more intensive treatment. When rinsed out my hair felt less tangled and lay more smoothly and with ongoing use I think it will help make my hair look in better condition. It's great for when your hair needs some extra care.

The Organic Shop Haircare Range

As well as Avocado & Honey the Organic Shop Haircare range has 4 other fun and fruity options: Coconut & Shea for dry, damaged hair, Argan & Amla to restore dull, lifeless hair, Raspberry & Acai for a volumising boost and Pomegranate & Patchouli for an invigorating boost.
