The European Escape: These Are The Places To Add To The List

Finding the right holiday for your whole family might feel tricky at times. You want to ensure that everyone involved has an amazing time, while also making the most of the time you have and the destination you have chosen to visit. I think it is important to introduce your children to all sorts of cultures and countries and with Europe being on the doorstep it is one of the best areas in the world to really witness a different culture and vibe. I thought I would share with you five locations to add to your family 'must do' list. I hope it provides you with some inspiration.

Our very own capital city

London is our capital and yet so many people have never ventured to the city. It is full of some amazing sightseeing opportunities of course and staying close to the action is important so a bit of research into your accommodation may be the ideal thing to do. You may want to compile a list as there will be so much to see and do, from Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, The Tower of London, Madame Tussauds and more.  There are also some fabulous chances to watch great shows at the West End theatres and eat at some of the finest restaurants.

Paris

The city of love has to be on your family to do list at some point, not just for the romance that us parents can get all wrapped in, but also for the fabulous atmosphere this city creates. The Eiffel Tower is a must see, but for any art lovers out there, you also have the Louvre you can visit. Whether you want to get lost in the pastries or just enjoy the coffee culture while children play in the parks, you really will enjoy visiting this city.

Barcelona

Barcelona is another place that will fill you with delight. This Spanish city is full of fun and vibrant turnings everywhere you look but it is also on the coast so you get the benefit of the beach as well. A beautiful place to see and the Tapas is great too. If you like football then the Nou Camp is definitely a must, home of the famous Barcelona football team.

The Greek Islands

There is so much to think about when it comes to Greece and it can be easy to get lost in some of the more trendy locations like Mykonos and Santorini, but with so many to choose from, you are bound to find the right island for you and the type of holiday you want. Party on the island of Zante or maybe enjoy the beautiful scenery and old towns in Crete. Car rental in Crete can help you explore more of the island. Enjoy the beautiful beaches of Rhodes and the fabulous food on offer in Corfu. There is such a lot to see and do in the Greek Islands that you may find that you add a lot of the islands on to your 'must see' holiday list.

Portugal

Finally, what about Portugal, or more specifically Lisbon if you want to combine some of the best qualities of a family getaway in the city? This place can be quite hilly but it is also on the coast meaning that you get to enjoy some of the most breathtaking scenery. There are beautiful photo opportunities everywhere from tiled walls to gorgeous buildings, so definitely one for a few family snaps or Instagram.

I hope that this has inspired you to consider some of Europe's amazing offerings.
